Education and Career Path
- childhood in the Port Perry area 1 hour northeast of Toronto
- graduated from Sheridan College graphic design program in 1979
- immediate employment May 1979 Promanad in north Toronto
- art department then creative department - art director
- freelancing in off-hours - evolved into full time 1981
- Nicholls Design Inc. - studio in Willowdale, ON
- experimented with paper sculpture in 1984/85
- first paying projects in 1985 - progressed into regular commissions in Canada initially then into U.S.
- combined interest in nature with paper sculpture in 1988/89
- published limited edition prints from my wildlife pieces
- originals and reproductions sold at Buckhorn Wildlife Art Festival 1990/91/92/93
- National Trust - commissioned 14 originals 1992 as part of national campaign
- One Of A Kind shows 1994/95 - spring
- Society of Animal Artists in New York accepted me into its membership April 19, 1996
- Red-tailed Hawk - "Hawkeye" - Award of Excellence 1996 SAA Annual Show
- Hawkeye sculpture selected for SAA national tour 1997 - (continue as member in good standing)
- client list now includes international corporations, design studios and private art collectors
